Inktober (and new t-shirt designs)

With everything that’s been happening in my life (and too many down days to count) over the past couple of years, I haven’t entertained the idea of Inktober for a while. So my drawing skills are a bit rusty. This year I’m determined to attempt as many prompts as I can.

I started a few days late due to a major snag. I fished out my calligraphy/ink supplies and found the lid of my Windsor & Newton drawing ink (my preferred ink) is seized shut. Not even the pliers could budge it. I’ve ordered another bottle for pick up, but it won’t arrive til the 9th (ish) and I was itching to start NOW!

Fortunately, I had another old bottle of ink in the box. I really don’t like this brand as it clogs a lot and doesn’t run smoothly on the paper. (I’ve had to hide a few blobby accidents on the current drawing)

I sketched up day 1 and 2 prompts on day 3, but inked them after day 3’s prompt of path. (I was stuck on ideas for the ‘dodge’ prompt.)

All my Inktober drawings have been posted on my Patreon page, along with ‘Slow(ish) TV’ Behind the Scenes creation videos (for higher tier supporters) as I work. You can also see most of my drawings on my Instagram page)

And New (Inktober-inspired) T-shirts!

Inktober always reminds me of the designs I’ve filed away to add to my Redbubble store. I’ve just pulled one out of the pile (and coloured it) and added my Golden Age Skull and Fae Toadstoal designs to the list. Now available as tees and artwork.
