This is a very enjoyable fantasy from one of the hardest working indy authors I know. It’s got a cosy mystery feel, with an elderly lady as the main character, but a definite fantasy plot with dark forces trying to gain access to our world. And it’s set in Adelaide!
“A daemonic hand with gnarled fingers and long sharp talons stretched out from the rip in the sky. Black flames crackled from its talons and rained down over the yard. Hell had come to Adelaide.”
It’s my fave line in the whole book: “Hell had come to Adelaide.” ?
