This was my last book event for 2023 was the Author Night Market hosted by Writers SA, Libraries SA, and Playford City Council – and one eagerly welcomed. We don’t have many book-specific events for indie genre/speculative fiction authors.
This was my last book event for 2023 was the Author Night Market hosted by Writers SA, Libraries SA, and Playford City Council – and one eagerly welcomed. We don’t have many book-specific events for indie genre/speculative fiction authors.
This was a short event – only three hours – but one of my best ever for sales (in the same time period). It helped it was geared for readers, and advertised by all three of its hosts, so reached a wide selection of them. Most were new (to me) readers, with one reader searching me out to buy the third book in The Adventures of Viola Stewart series (he’d read the other two). I trialled new book merch (successfully), and best sellers were Doctor Jack and Blood Ties.
